Phantom I looked behind - and above - once again, and groaned. Then, flickering out of view, I prepared for another of my tricks. This one might work - it depended on how high I could get.

I swam next to Honoo trying to keep up. On the outside I was solemn and quite, but on the inside I was bubbling with excitement. I had never seen an ocean and was now betteryet I was swimming in one! The waves splashed my face and clogged m nose with salt water but did not dampen my spirit. My only worry was how long we could last in this desert of waves.

I swam along side Nami and I thought what a good swimmer she is! I knew Akebono could go forever but I said to Nami with a teasing tone in my voice, "Try and keep up, and see if you can do this." With the last word out of my mouth I flipped over and floating on my back I paddled after Akebono. I looked back and said, "If you can't do it I can show you." I shook my head and laughed quitely as I heard Honoo talk to Nami. He doesn't even know it but he is flirting. She thought as she thought it ironic that Honoo knew nothing about flirting yet he was doing it. He is doing quite well I just hope Nami feels the same way about him. I also hoped we could keep up with Akebono when she could get the phatom to come out. I sighed and shook my head as I followed the phatom's scent. I soon drowned out the nosie of Honoo talking and every sound as I concertered on following the strange one's scent. I would not get distracted because even though I could follow scents quite well this one was faint. I would keep up even if I was following this phatom alone.

Phantom Glancing behind me once again, I leapt, invisibly, into the air - - and ran out of energy. "Dammit!" I paddled desperately forward, my only hope now to outswim them until I recharged.

I laughed Show off and tried to do what Honoo had showed me. But when I got on my back my wings unbalanced me and I flipped over. Ha ha. I laughed, I just can't get it. How do you stay balanced?. As I played around my nose was still searching for any scent. And at the time I least expected it I smelt something other than us and the salt water. I had scented another wolf. I sniffed again. My nose wasn't playing tricks on me, there had to be another wolf. And who else would be swimming in the middle of the ocean? That meant it was the the black manen we were chasing. Hey guys! This way! Do you smell that?

I laughed and was about to show Nami when she and Akebono started sniffing the air. I sniffed also and smelled the manen scent. It was fresh and near by. I said, "Let's go toward him and get him!" I started swimming toward the scent. I saw Honoo showing off and I silently laughed to myself and though good he is finally getting how to play and not be so serious and hard to guess. As soon as Nami said to scent the air Honoo started sniffing. Well will you look at that he trusts her as much as he trusts me and Akebono! He must love her! I sniffed and other then the icky strong salt water I smelled manen! I inwardly groaned and followed Honoo. I was not looking at Nami, Honoo, or Avaron as I soley seached for the manen. As soon as Nami said that she smelled the manen my head went up like a shot and my ears pricked up. I was already swimming toward the scent when I smelled Honoo following. I was silent as I slipped under water with my eyes shut tightly and my ears sealed. I swam like a seal above the water and was very quite as I tried tofind the manen and surprise him from behind.

Phantom I looked behind me, not surprised that I could now see the manens, three of them, like bef- Wait. Three? There was a stream of bubbles right behind me, a manen hiding underwater. I pushed against the wolf, my paws flailing desperately. "Leave me alone! Go awaaaay~!" Then I turned and went under the water with a splash, attempting to paddle some more. Of course, I was getting tired. Really tired. But I had to get away, and blind desperation drove me on.

I, Nami, swam as fast as I could. Then giving up swimming I leaped out of the water and into the air. My great wings carried me to the struggling pair. Why? I shouted, Why do you run? We only want to help! We can help. Then I dived into the water, making a giant splash. Stop! Please.

I saw him see Akebono and lash out at her. I felt a snarl building up in my throat and I let loose something close to a roar of anger. I swam like a bullet toward the manen and soon I was beside him. I grabbed the scuff of his neck in my powerful mouth and shook him and growled then said, "That was rather rude to lash out at my sister. Listen I don't care that you think you will destroy other manens and you want to stay away. If you really want to stop it get help you dolt. Now we are risking our lives to help you because we want to and you turn away. Be brave and let us help. You should be glad I'm giving you advice instead of really hurting you, but hurt my sister badly and I will not stop to hurt you." Even though I knew he would try to stuggle I was still powerful and not very tired since I had swam and gone with out rest for many days on end. I barley saw Honoo move. He was shaking that manen so fast yet he talked to him clearly though the fur in his mouth. I also didn't see Akebono move either. I huff as I flew up higher very fast. I smiled as I thought now this is a fast way to move. Soon as I was high enough I tucked my wings to my side and was speeding like a rocket above them I forced my wings out at the right time and I slowly and gracefully landed in the water next to them. I almost got out of the way but the manen pushed me weakly but still a bit roughly back. I heard that strange savage sound Honoo made and I got out of the way as he swam toward the manen and gripped him roughly. I waited until he was finished with his speech and then I was next to him in a flash and said, "Don't kill him. I know you are mad but I can take care of myself."

+ooc: I really need to get my hands on a scanner. Badly. I have some pictures of Phantom I drew...+
Phantom In panic, I instinctively phased through his grip, right out of his mouth, like mist. It seemed that I was recharging... I splashed a little farther away, glaring at the manen. Maybe he didn't know exactly what was going on, but that didn't stop me from snapping back. "Brave? I tried being brave before and I kil-" My eyes flickered to a bloody red for a few seconds, then I shook my head angrily and it went back to a glowing green. "See? Even now, my body's exhausted, I'm struggling against it with all my mind, and it's still trying to happen." I gave a hollow, bitter, tired laugh. "Besides, I doubt you could help unless you found a paranormal specialist. And even then, I doubt they could do anything but kill me the rest of the wa-" It was then that I realized what I was saying, and snapped my mouth shut, appalled. I hadn't meant to blurt that much out. I should have kept my senses, even if I was angry. I turned and half-heartedly attempted to paddle away, escape, again, cursing my stupidity. I also checked my energy reserves for a second time, unsurprised to see that I had barely enough for a minute, and not even for anything really strong. Just my luck...

Listening carefuly to what he said I caught something that made me twitch. What do you mean kill me the rest of the way? Are you half dead? Or is that part of your abilities? My head was swarming, thoughts filled my head burning my brain and with out realizing it I stopped padding. Slowly sinking under my nose and mouth filled with water. Choking and gagging under water did no good and soon my vision became bluring. The last thing I remembered was a howl and a gasp. Before my lungs gave way and my brain felt numb.

(occ Honoo is not dead) I was think about what the manen said and when I turned to Nami to say something I saw she was gone. I looked widly around and saw her sinking very fast. I howled and gasped and I filled my lungs with air and went down to get her I forced my eyes open aganist the stinging salt. I saw her heading toward the under tow and knew I had to save her. I drived and swam in Akebono's style which made you go very fast. She was right about to touch the under tow when I pushed myself a little harder and I grabbed her wet slick fur in my mouth. I heard Akebono and with my remaing strenght I threw Nami up to her. I heard something which sounded like a whine which was filled with desperation that was muffled through fur as I felt the under tow ripping at my foot. I relaxed as the under tow took me and I kept my eyes open as I disappeared as the under tow took me. I knew that if I let the under tow take me I could maybe live I wold gather my strenght but I would not know where I would be. My last thought was that I hoped Nami, Akebono, and Avaron would get this manen to see what we where trying to say and save him while staying safe. I turned my head as I heard a howl. I saw Honoo going after Nami and I tried to go after him but my body hurt too much to swim. I saw Akebono come up with Nami and a horrifed expression on her face. My head dropped and I said nothing as I saw Honoo was not with them. I howled up to the sky and I felt the tears coming. I heard Akebono go "I...I... could not save him. We have to go after him!" I turned to her and sadly shook my head as I said, "No Akebono you and I both know that we can't go after him. He might come back by himself." Seeing her desperation I said, "I can take Nami." She was in a daze as she gave me Nami. I saw that Honoo go after Nami and I went after them. I saw him throw Nami up to me. I had silently taken her thinking he had began to get to tired to carry her. I then realized he had gotten taken by the under tow. I turned to him ready to grab him and pull him out. I then saw him getten whisked away from me. I whined through Nami's fur. I swam up and I said to Avaron "I...I... could not save him. We have to go after him!" I saw Avaron sadly nod and say, "No Akebono you and I both know that we can't go after him. He might come back by himself." I heard her through a haze. I knew we could not go after him. I slowly swam after the manen and I vagely heard Avaron say, "I can take Nami." I dazedly let her take Nami and as soon as her fur was out of my mouth I howled the saddest howl I had ever howled. The tears came fast and they fell fast and I sobbed with body wrenching sobs.

Phantom I twinged when I heard Akebono howl - I could guess what had happened. But I couldn't do anything - even if I could turn intangible for a longer time and survive the undertow, it would probably happen right when I grabbed him and cause me to kill him. Besides... "See? Now I even cause bad luck to others. Just leave me alone, would you?" Then I took a deep breath and fell underwater, knowing, as long as I was careful to avoid currents, it would be easier to swim there. Dimly, I thought I heard one of them say something - but I wasn't sure. Either way, I ignored it.
